Based on Annieb's post, does that mean Pepper Jelly is much older than Lake Jackson, Texas' claim that it originated there in 1978? :)

I keep several jars of pepper jelly around all the time. Red Datil Pepper Jelly is becoming one of my favorites.

Your photos are great! Thanks for the recipe.

Mother will be 90 years old in November, and has been making pepper jelly as long as I can remember. Her recipe is a little different, but no matter how you make it, it's wonderful. After all, it is one of the major foods in the South, along with Mayhaw jelly. I can't wait to try your recipe.

What a great recipe! My dad loves pepper jelly, but I have a hard time finding it. I'll definitely be using your recipe the next time I need to find some.

I would love to include your recipe in our pre-loaded Demy, the first and only digital recipe reader. Please email haleyglasco@gmail.com if you're interested.
