Super Bowl Sunday – Go Saints!!

Saints fever in New Orleans, I wish I was there to watch the game and get wild in the quarter before and after, but unfortunately that’s not going to happen, so the next best thing is to whip up some game time chow that will, in flavor at least, whisk me and my guests away to New Orleans as we hopefully watch the Saints go marching to victory.

Here are a few ideas for a great Super Bowl party with some New Orleans flavor.

Mix up a Sazerac to kick off your party, a New Orleans original and some say the originial cocktail at that:

Instead of traditional Shrimp Cocktail, how about a platter of Shrimp Remoulade:

  1. Right on, man! We’re making your muffulettas for a small crowd. I put the olive salad together two days ago, and I can’t wait to get it out of the fridge and into my belly. Many thanks for the great recipe. And: Go Saints!

  2. Glad that you are posting again. You have the best recipies on the web and I love trying them out. Keep ’em coming!

  3. So happy the Saints won. I didn’t want to face my 8yo’s tears if the outcome would have been different. To me, muffelettas are a bit of heaven. I’ll have to try that cocktail.

  4. Thanks for the Muffellata recipe. We served Red Beans & Rice with Richard’s Smoked Sausage, Water Maid Rice, and Blue Runner Red Beans with Garlic Bread & salad on the side as we cheered our Saints onto victory.
